Hansol Lee (PhD Student at UC Irvine)



Hansol Lee is a Republic of Korea (ROK) Army officer and a doctoral student in the School of Education, specializing in Language, Literacy, and Technology (LLT). Immediately after receiving his master's degree in English Language and Literature from Seoul National University (SNU) in South Korea, he taught English to cadets of the Korea Military Academy (KMA) at Seoul, a Korean equivalent to the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point, New York, since 2009. During his teaching experience, he has been inspired by using technology in language teaching and learning contexts, which motivated him to pursue a Ph.D. degree at UC Irvine. His research interests include CALL (Computer-Assisted Language Learning), Corpus Linguistics, Language Assessment, Second Language Acquisition, and ESP (English for Specific Purposes).
